We had our EOC tests. 3rd period will be going to D lunch – go to room 219 at the beginning of the block.  If Coach Pena talked to you, you will have A lunch and then go to room 307.

4th period will go directly to room 219.

Hey Everyone!

Today we did free-write Friday first and turned in our notebooks for a check.

Then, we worked on our EOC argumentative essay with this graphic organizer >>Argumentative Essay Graphic Organizer.

Our EOC is Monday.

Thursday, April 25th

Hey Everyone!

Today we started with independent reading.

We also rechecked our narratives from yesterday.  Remember to use dialogue and imagery when telling a story! Dialogue consists of quotes!

I took the narrative (with peer review) for a grade from yesterday. We also worked on an expository paper today with this graphic organizer >> click HERE. This was also taken as a grade. Per copyright laws, I can’t publish them on my blog, so please come see me in room 306.

Tuesday, April 23rd

Hey Everyone!

3rd period went to A lunch so we would have enough time for testing.

All testing took place in room 217.

Today we started  with our RI test with analyzes our reading.

We also created a MEME using the MEME Maker >> click HERE.

Then, we took our Kahoot >> click HERE.

We ended with this writing assignment >> We rewrote Act 2, Scene 3 . If you need another copy, choose page 33 out of this packet >> Berry_Donovan_Hummel. I also gave students the option to write a love story that included death (in true Shakespeare fashion).

Our Act 2 Test is TOMORROW and your questions will be due then too for Act 2. 

Monday, April 22nd

Hey Everyone!

IF YOU GO TO EOC practice tomorrow in room 307 (Writing Center), you will get extra credit. The times are before school 7:45-8:15 or after school 3:45-4:15.

We started with a MUG shot #9. We will have a notebook check this week.

We also did an interesting Shakespeare/Taylor Swift Activity.

Tomorrow we have the RI test in room 217. 3rd period will go to A lunch.

We started with a small writing assignment >> Romeo and Juliet Paragraph Writing Prompts. Students had to choose one!

We will continue reading Act 2 and filling out our questions! romeo-and-juliet-act-2.

In 3rd, we did independent reading (4th did this yesterday)

Hey Everyone!

Today we started with independent reading as well as an EOC practice test. Our EOC (End of course tests will be April 29-May 1st).

After, we wrote out “Dear Abby” advice column – you got to pick the advice to give >> dear-abby.

We also played Kahoot to review for our Act 1 (20 question) test TOMORROW.
